Nancy Klavans is the president and trustee of the Germeshausen Foundation and has led the organization since 2001.

The foundation's secretary and treasurer is Martin S. Kaplan, also a trustee. Martin has served the foundation since the mid-1980s.

Sarah and Alyssa Klavans, daughters of Dick and Nancy Klavans, currently serve as adjunct trustees.

The trustees meet frequently throughout the year to review letters of inquiry, and seek to provide decisions as promptly as possible.

The trustees seek to be actively engaged throughout the grant-making process. We remain in continuing contact with grantees and other foundations, providing guidance and advice when requested, aiding in efforts to strengthen the grantee organizations, and networking to advance the goal of collaboration among grantees and other funders.
